Hey Everyone!
Welcome to my page. My name is Kelsey Webber. I am responsible for the training, breeding, grooming and foaling at
Vandy's Farm. I am currently a Pre-Vet Animal Science student at Cal Poly Pomona. Horses have been my passion ever
since I was little.
I worked under a trainer for 6 years learning everything about driving and jumping miniature horses as well as halter and
color. My trainers, John and Molly Jackson, have since passed away but I continue to use their training methods to train my
horses and teach new drivers. I was blessed to learn under them and they are responsible for teaching me everything I know
today. My accomplishments with miniature horses include: several national top tens in driving, jumping and color, 4th in the
nation in youth single pleasure driving, John Jackson Memorial Award (received the most points in performance events) and
many grand and reserve championships with the local Pacific Coast Miniature Horse Club.
I regularly train my horses for driving, jumping and halter. I have trained many horses from scratch. The horse pictured
above is Dell Tera's Checkers. When I first bought him, he was difficult to even halter and shaving his face was almost
impossible. I broke him to drive and jump and he went on to receive a grand championship in his class in country pleasure
driving. Right now, I have taken a break from showing myself to focus on college and training. I give driving lessons for
both recreational, trail, and show driving on my mini mare, Wonder.
In addition to miniature horse training and lessons, I also give western riding lessons on my quarter horse mare, Dyna. I
have been riding since I was in the 2nd grade. I have grown up and been raised around horses. My riding lessons are for
beginners and I focus on basic riding skills (walk, trot, canter...etc), trail riding, horse handling and care. Horse handling and
care lessons are for students who are new to horses. I teach them how to do everything you would need to know to own a
horse such as haltering, walking, lunging, grooming, feeding and exercising horses.
I specialize in youth riders and drivers but I will take new students of any age. I mainly give lessons on my own horses,
Wonder and Dyna, but if you have your own horse that you would like to take lessons on please contact me and we can
discuss more details. Lessons can be focused on riding, driving, or basic care and handling. They will be customized to the
students skill level. I charge $35 an hour for any type of lesson.
If you have any questions or would like to schedule a lesson, please contact me at bootscootnbabe@gmail.com.
